I haven't posted a journal in a while updating things about whatever I'm doing/did. So here is one
Year of 2011 was a weird hectic year, full of ups and downs. I could consider a year of lessons for there were many. Had many projects with friends in a start stage and ready to advance but all died off. None survived, and I just figured out that no matter what, projects should be done ALONE and alone only. I spent way too much energy to get things moving and starting to simply see the partners in crime do nothing, disappear or drop off. I don't blame anyone for doing that, its a choice anyone has the right to do, but I'm not willing to hit on another wall like that. It gets you worn out. A LOT.
So I dove into my own projects, like the comic projects I have in my since a long time. One of them moving at a steady pace, the comic Gold, War and Donkeys.
Also this was the year I decided to quit my "job" as a scientific illustrator. If there was ever such a job. I was back-stabbed pretty hard on this one, being tricked several times.
There were many other things, but won't go into details otherwise this won't finish and your eyeballs will fall off. As I said, a year of lessons.
On the positive side, was able to meet awesome new people, work in a animal hospital (as volunteer), get a part time job and figuring out some other things.
I started 2012 with a beer in one hand and my best friend by my side, laughing our asses off at the successes and failures of 2011.
Lets all be happy and enjoy life
ps: I won't open for commission anytime soon so don't note me about it.

As I see it, you only have one life to succeed in your dreams. Every bit of time you waste only makes it harder, and easier for others to trample you with theirs.
Think well, start it now if you haven't, and specially... avoid trampling others yourself.
Aaw, ok. Comissions são sempre uma prática bem investida.
